Product Description

Ethylene glycol diacetate (EGDA) is a chemical that has the general chemical properties of an ester and readily hydrolyzes to alcohols and acetic acids in the presence of caustic and inorganic acids. This product is an excellent and efficient organic solvent.

Application Area

As a solvent, EGDA can be used to manufacture paints, adhesives and paint removers. It can completely or partially replace cyclohexanone, isophorone (CAC), propylene glycol methyl ether acetic acid (PMA), ethylene glycol monobutyl ether (BCS), DBE and other high boiling point solvents, with the characteristics of improving leveling and regulating drying speed of paint film.

EGDA is mainly used for paint baking, nitro paint, nitro paint, printing ink, coil steel coating, cellulose ester, fluorescent coating and so on. Soluble rosin, acetate,  alkyd resin, acrylic resin, polyester resin, etc.
