Application Area

 

1. Use as intermediate of medicine and dye. The pesticides produced with O-chlorobenzaldehyde can control the mites on dry crops and fruit trees. O-chlorobenzaldoxime can be obtained by oxime of o-chlorobenzaldoxime, and o-chlorobenzaldoxime can be obtained by further chlorination, both of which are drug intermediates.

2. Nitrocellulose, resin, gum and other solvents. Extractant for certain inorganic salts. Organic synthesis

4. Used as solvent and dewaxing agent for lubricating oil

5. Spices. Mainly used to prepare rum, cheese and fruit flavor.

It is used as a dressing agent, as a solvent for oil dewaxing, as a color forming agent for color films, as a solvent for tetracycline and pyrethroids and DDT, as an adhesive, rubber glue, and as a coating for aircraft and models. It is also an effective separation agent for some inorganic salts, separating plutonium from uranium, niobium from tantalum, and zirconium from hafnium. Its peroxides are very important initiators in the polymerization of polyester resins. It is also used in the organic synthesis industry. It can also be used as an anticoagulant and diluent for vinyl resins.
