White crystal or powder, low toxicity, flammable. It is a solid at room temperature. It doesn't melt when heated, >300 ºC sublimation. If heating in an airtight container, melting at 425 ºC.
Soluble in alkaline solution, slightly soluble in hot ethanol, insoluble in water, ether, glacial acetic acid, chloroform and most organic solvents, soluble in DMF, DEF and DMSO, such as strong polar organic solvents.
