Acetic acid is colorless transparent with pungent flavour liquid acetic acid, soluble in water, ethyl alcohol, ether, carbon tetrachloride, glycerol and other organic solvent. After diluted, it has strong corrosive to metal. Anhydrous acetic acid is colorless crystal after solidification. Steam has an irritating effect on eyes and nose.
